AC notes for Corniche
The Corniche mixes older apartment blocks with newer high-rises along the waterfront. Older buildings tend to have their own split units, often many years old; newer towers are more often district-cooled. Either way, the sea air keeps humidity high.
In older flats, a cleaning plus a gas pressure check often restores cooling that has faded over several summers.

Mix of older apartment blocks with wall splits and newer towers with concealed units.
What to watch for
Faded cooling in older units and musty smells in humid months.

Due for routine care
Filters, coil, blower and drain are cleaned and the gas pressure recorded - two or three visits a year for most villas.
AC CleaningDamp, mouldy smell
Humid summers let mould settle on the coil. Washing the coil, not just the filter, removes the smell.
AC Coil CleaningAir feels weaker than last summer
Fine dust and sand pack the coil fins over time. A coil wash opens them up again.
AC Coil CleaningDrips on the ceiling or wall
Most leaks come from a full drain tray or a choked line, fixed by clearing the drain.
AC RepairFan runs, no cold air
Low gas, a dirty coil or a failed capacitor. The technician measures before any part or gas is quoted.
AC Not CoolingNeeds gas every year
Refrigerant only drops when there is a leak. The pressure check comes first so you are not refilling into a leak.
AC Gas RefillUnit dead or keeps cutting out
Usually an electrical part or control board. A diagnosis visit pins it down and you approve the price.
