How an AC Deep Clean (Full Dismantle) Works
The unit is taken apart so every part that holds dirt and water can be washed separately.
1. Unit isolated and covered
Power is isolated and the room is protected before any part is removed.
2. Unit taken down
The indoor unit is removed from its bracket or ceiling space and stripped to its main components.
3. Parts soaked
Coil, blower wheel, drain tray and covers are treated with a cleaning solution to loosen heavy build-up.
4. Every part washed
Each part is washed separately, which a coil clean cannot reach.
5. Fan motor bearings checked
Bearings are checked for noise and lubricated where needed.
6. Drain line flushed
The full condensate line is flushed before the unit goes back up.
7. Refitted and tested
The unit is refitted, levelled for drainage and run until the supply air is cold.
8. Gas and condenser checked
Gas pressure and the outdoor unit are checked, with any extra work quoted first.
When a coil wash is not enough
A chemical wash cleans the coil and blower where they sit. That works for most units. But in a split unit that has run several Dubai summers without a proper clean, dirt and mould also cake the inside of the casing, the back of the coil against the wall and the drain tray hidden behind the front panel - places a technician cannot reach without taking the unit down.
