Singapore Regulations on Air Conditioning Systems
In Singapore, the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) have placed regulations around air conditioning systems to ensure safety and environment efficient operation. These regulations include the Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) system under the Building Control Act and the Environmental Public Health Act.
As per these regulations, the NEA recommends regular servicing of all aircon units at least every 3 months, whereas BCA recommends a servicing at least once a year.
All aircon service contractors must be licensed by NEA and the technician must be trained to conduct aircon servicing.
All residential and business air conditioning systems must comply to these regulations in Singapore.

No. Every price shown on our website and app is the final all-in amount, with transport included and no minimum booking fee. Your exact total is displayed before you confirm the booking, and no charges are added after the job is completed.
The National Environment Agency recommends servicing residential aircon units at least once every 3 months, while the Building and Construction Authority recommends at least once a year. In Singapore's humid climate we suggest a general service every 3 to 4 months for normal home use, and more frequently if you have pets, run the unit daily or live near a main road.
A general aircon service covers six steps per unit: cleaning the air filters and front cover, cleaning the evaporator coil, clearing the drain pan, vacuuming the drainage pipe, checking the outdoor condenser performance, and verifying refrigerant gas pressure for cooling efficiency. The technician will also tell you if any deeper cleaning is genuinely needed, at additional cost.
A chemical wash treats the evaporator coil and water tray with a chemical solution after partial dismantling, and is right when airflow is weak or there is a musty smell. A chemical overhaul is more intensive: the fan coil unit is dismantled off the wall so the blower wheel, coils and full drainage line can be cleaned, then reassembled and tested. Choose an overhaul if cooling is still poor after a recent service or the unit has been unused for months.
